This position is in the EM Quality Assurance organization in Asia reporting to Global EM Quality Manager. The position is accountable for driving an end-to-end Quality Improvement Strategy in the region, with a focus on:
Define standards together with QM-experts to make sure the processes are in line with ISO and IATF and we have the right required procedures which are kept UpToDate.
Supporting external registrar audits and preparing the sites to be ready for the certification audits to avoid major and minor non conformances.
Define and execute together with cross-functional Quality Champions a set of measurements in order to create SOPs, checklists, guidelines to improve processes.
? Participate in the implementation of Quality Mgmt. Systems and Techniques, (QMST) and site management reviews.
? Ensuring quality notifications (QNs) are completed in a timely fashion. Ensuring all Customer QNs have a robust root cause, corrective action and preventive action completed quickly (CAPA / 8D).
? Reducing non conformances from the plants and working with manufacturing and T&I/Engineering to eliminate repeat QNs and issues from production.
? Working with the site QMs and site personnel on reducing block stock in Asia plant and warehouses/distribution centers
? Coming up with continuous improvement ideas to help improve and increase efficiency / productivity / reduce waste in our internal processes.
Support qualification requirements for customers.
Supporting any customer audits, cost reduction activities, performing lessons learnt and best practice sharing within teams.
Do regular internal “audits” together with regional leadership to make sure the standard is met.
Lead regional cross functional Quality Meetings on Leadership Level.
Be part of the Regional Leadership EM.
Improving quality level of the manufacturing plants and supporting FMEA reviews to reduce non conformances.
Participating in site Quality Improvement Team meetings to suggest opportunities for improvement.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Good knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and IATF 16949 standards, Practical understanding of Management Systems.
- Good analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills required, self-directing and ability to proceed with minimal direction and information, good data mining skills and good computer skills, ability to self-learn quickly.
- Excellent conflict resolution skills and demonstrated experience in working with multi-disciplinary and multi-level teams.
- Dedicated, flexible and highly motivated individual with exceptional communication and relationship building skills.
- Proven planning, organizational, time management skills and follow-up skills.
- Focused, target driven with a positive, can-do attitude
- Good interpersonal skills, ability to work well in teams, ability to make the right judgments and decisions
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
Experience in Quality Engineering / Quality Assurance especially in automotive molding preferred.
-Experience in facilitating or participating in root cause investigations using KT / Apollo / 5Y / Fishbone or similar methods preferred
- Lean/6-Sigma Certification preferred. Experience with FMEA’s and PPAP’s preferred.
- Basic knowledge of SAP preferred
- Good Knowledge of industry standard quality tools and processes preferred
